Last week a few bloggers and I, were invited down to an intimate tea at Chinti & Parker. We sat down, had an overall girly natter, and took a sneak peak of their SS11 collection, with the lovely Anna, one half of the design duo:
The ethos behind Chinti & Parker is ethical, luxury basics- think cashmere sweatpants and organic cotton t-shirts- yum! Their carbon footprint is low; they understand the dangers of fast fashion and use and innovative materials such as seaweed in production. The brand is personable; every item seems to tell a story, which you can't help but love- from Anna's infant son being used a test model (and loving it) to grannies knitting their kidswear line in little villages in North England.
Luxury loungewear is definitely 'in'; James Perse and L'Agence have been doing it (and well) for some time.
But, what I love about this brand is that they are all about details. I for one, am a person who is always on the hunt for the perfect white tee. A basic, I know but, Chinti & Parker know their staples from their fads, and with (the softest) white tees being at the epicentre of their SS11 collection, I'm sold. I also love that every item is hand-stitch branded with their sneaky little initials, and kidswear can be personalised (mega love). It's all in the details... and if you don't scrimp on those wardrobe basics (because no-one needs a H&M tee that fades after one wash) this brand is for you!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Chinti and Parker! I brought a Sailor T from their website recently and its fab, a real winner! www.chintiandparker.com
ReplyDeletethe gray with the buttons on one shoulder and navy pocket is super cute! I see myself wearing that with dark blue skinny jeans and my badass black ankle boots!
ReplyDeleteEyepatches sold me. And the fact the collection looks comfi makes it a win. BUT, I would not go forward and spend excessive amount of money on it.
ReplyDeletemaybe its just me.

^^ I totally get that. I suppose their point is that you're investing; so you only have to buy that white tee or breton top once. Plus cashmere never came cheap as chips :0).
