PLAQUE (Christopher Parnell x Romy Townsend)

(Chris Parnell MMU 09)
(Romy Townsend MMU 09)

How happy was I to receive an email from the lovely Christopher Parnell 'keeping me up to date' on what he'd been upto since I last drooled over posted about his 2009 graduate collection.

'anyways I've been interning at Richard Nicoll and on the Kate Moss design team at Topshop'

...anyways??

Why are people from up North so damn modest? As you can see Christopher is amazing!

Ok, so the point of this post was not to further bore you with how much I loved his sexy-grunge graduate collection, but to actually tell you that he's finally began the process of setting up a label, with the equally as fab Romy Townend (think men's Yojhi inspired knitwear) called PLAQUE. Although, they are still in the design process, the womenswear label will focus on dresses, denim, jersey and knitwear, with an initial range of uni-sex t-shirts. The collection is inpired by 70s sex culture + 90s youth culture.... I die!

Honestly, I have never been so excited. I've lived in his denim shirt (here & here) for the past year and his zipper dress is still on my imaginary wishlist.

To see more from PLAQUE check them out at: www.weareplaque.blogspot.com from the beginning of May.
